Men's Indoor Track and Field Places Three on All-NJAC Team

Montclair, NJ (2/24/11) – Sophomore Niyi Adenugba (North Brunswick, NJ / North Brunswick), senior Mario Morrison-Bird (West Orange, NJ / West Orange) and junior Jon Tancer (Montville, NJ / Montville) each earned All-Conference honors as the NJAC released is 2011 Indoor Team on Thursday.

League all-conference honors were based on the results of the NJAC Indoor Track & Field Championships which were conducted at the New York Armory on February 20. All special awards were selected via a vote of the league’s head coaches.            

Adenugba earned All-Conference honors in two events as he was named Honorable Mention after finishing third in the 55 meter hurdles posting a time of 8.18 seconds in the finals of the event. Adenugba then displayed his versatility as he moved to the field events where he was third in the high jump at 1.93 meters to garner Honorable Mention honors for that event as well. 

Morrison-Bird led the 2-3 finish by Montclair in the shot put as he threw 14.81 meters while Tancer posted a mark of 14.58 meters as the two were named Second Team and Honorable Mention, respectively.
