Here is the list of requirements and deadlines you need to be aware of in order to assure a smooth transition for course registration and housing eligibility:
- Measles, Mumps, and Rubella – All students born after 1956 must provide vaccination documentation of two doses of measles, two doses of mumps and one dose of rubella vaccine.
- Hepatitis B – All incoming full time students must provide documentation of a completed series of three vaccinations against Hepatitis B.
- Meningitis - All students who intend to live in University housing must show documentation of vaccination of one dose of meningococcal meningitis vaccine within the last five years in addition to measles, mumps, rubella and Hepatitis B requirements. This requirement does not apply to commuter students.
Requests for religious exemption
from these requirements may be submitted to the University Health Center. It must be from the enrolled student if aged
18 or over and specifically state the religious doctrine that prohibits
immunization. Montclair State reserves
the right to approve or decline the exemption request.
Requests for medical exemption should be submitted to the University Health Center as a written statement from your healthcare provider indicating the vaccine that is contraindicated and the specific medical condition. Montclair State reserves the right to approve or decline the exemption request.
