On April 9, 2011 MSU will host the 56th Annual New Jersey Academy of Science meeting. This event is sponsored by the College of Science and Mathematics at Montclair State University and is co-hosted by the Ecological Society of America. 

The meeting will be held in the 7th Floor Conference Center of University Hall on the Montclair State campus.

The guest speaker panel includes: Robert Howarth, Cornell University; David Velinsky, Philadelphia Academy of Natural Sciences; and Michael Jacobson, Pennsylvania State University. Additionally, Mike Weinstein, Director of the Institute of Sustainability Science will provide a lecture during the optional dinner. In the afternoon Mike Pawlish of Montclair State University will deliver a presentation that focuses on his work last summer on the Gulf of Mexico Oil Spill.
