MSU smashed the 29-year-old mark in the event as the quartet of Heather Gearity (Rutherford, NJ / Rutherford), Ashadaya Patterson (Trenton, NJ / Northern Burlington), Antoinetta Altilio (Rutherford, NJ / Rutherford) and Ashley Powell (Orange, NJ / Marylawn of the Oranges) posted a time of 49.35 seconds finished third. The time broke the previous standard of 49.70 seconds set in 1982.
Nicole Presti (Saddle Brook, NJ / Saddle Brook) finished second in the
3000 meter steeplechase with a time of 13:33.25. Gearity would place
third in the 400 meters at 58.21 with Michelle McNulty (Bayonne, NJ / Bayonne) coming in eighth with a personal best time of 59.81.
Patterson and Krystal Ellis (Morristown, NJ / Morristown) were fifth (15.41) and sixth (15.60), respectively in the 100 meter hurdles and Michelle Armando Padavano (Rahway, NJ / Mother Seton) was seventh in the 1500 meters with a personal best time of 5:25.78.
Brianna Myrick (Metuchen, NJ / Metuchen) took fourth in the 800 meters in a collegiate best time of 2:27.19. Freshman Janine Grillo (Bogota, NJ / Immaculate Conception) also ran in the event and finished sixth with a personal best time of 2:41.08.
Sara Douma (West Milford, NJ / West Milford) was fifth in the triple jump with a season-best leap of 10.57 meters.
Women's 400 Meter Relay Sets New School Record at Roadrunner Express Meet

400 meter relay to highlight the outstanding performances by the Red
Hawks at the Roadrunner Express held at Ramapo College on Friday
