Quigley Named NJAC Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week

Montclair, NJ (5/2/11) – Senior defender Kristin Quigley (Mount Laurel, NJ / Lenape) was named the New Jersey Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week on Monday. It's the Red Hawks' third weekly honor from the conference this season.

Quigley becomes the second different Red Hawk to earn NJAC Defensive Player of the Week honors after helping lead MSU to a NCAA Tournament berth with a pair of Skyline Tournament victories over NJAC opponents. She opened the week by collecting five ground balls and causing five turnovers in a 17-3 win over rival Kean. Two days later, she secured two draw controls and collected four ground balls in a 17-7 victory over rival Ramapo. Quigley currently ranks sixth in the NJAC in caused turnovers per game (1.20).
