Hill Chosen NJAC Softball Rookie Pitcher of the Week for Sixth Time

Montclair, NJ (5/9/11) – For the sixth time this season Montclair State freshman Alex Hill (Parsippany, NJ / Parsippany Hills) was named the New Jersey Athletic Conference Rookie Pitcher of the Week on Monday.

Hill earns NJAC Rookie Pitcher of the Week honors for the sixth time this season after producing a 0.95 earned run average during three NJAC Tournament games played for MSU. In the first postseason game of her collegiate career, she surrendered no earned runs in nine innings of work during a 1-0 opening round defeat to TCNJ. Three days later, she allowed just two hits and one run while striking out nine in a 6-1 elimination game win over top-seeded Rowan.

The NJAC Pitcher and Rookie of the Year, Hill currently leads the NJAC in earned run average (0.80), strikeouts (171), and wins (17).
