Environmental Management PhD Student Featured in Trout Unlimited

Luke Diglio

Montclair State doctoral student Luke Diglio has been working with the NJ Division of Fish & Wildlife in Mount Olive Township to study native brook trout. His research involves assessing dam removal impact and the migration patterns of the species to reclassify a section of the South Branch of the Raritan River as "Trout Production Waters." Mr. Diglio has been marking the trout to track their movement among the tributaries and main stem of the river with the purpose of determining to what degree native brook trout in the SBR interact with non-native trout.
