Gingerelli had a best throw of 58.23 meters (191-feet).
Gingerelli entered the NCAA Championship with the 10th-best
distance in the nation. He was the NJAC Champion in the event as he
took first-place honors with a throw of 61.52 meters. The distance was a
provisional qualifying mark but good enough to land him among the
field of 19 competitors this weekend.
Montclair State has not had an individual outdoor track and field
champion since the Red Hawks’ 1,600 meter relay team won the national
championship in 1993.
