Teachathon 2005

You are needed to teach a 20-minute lesson to help raise funds for reconstruction of schools in areas hit hardest by the tsunami on Dec. 26, 2004.

The Teacher Education Advocacy Center is hosting a fund-raising event beginning on National Teacher's Day on May 3, 2005 and ending on May 6, 2005.

Teachathon 2005 will take place in the Curriculum Resource Centerís Classroom of the Future, Chapin Hall, Room 001. The goal is to raise $10,000 by broadcasting 48 hours of sponsored teaching via iTV to sites around the world. We are asking students and faculty from Montclair State University and vicinity to volunteer to teach 20-minute lessons on a variety of topics ranging from how to braid your hair or make a pizza to petrography. Each lesson will be sponsored by individuals and/or organizations who pledge to make a donation to the Save the Children Fund.

Please share your expertise, talents and skills. Sign up in Chapin Hall 310.
