Montclair, NJ (9/1/11) – The Montclair State Department of Intercollegiate Athletics has announced the hiring of Kelsey Withrow as Program Assistant for Compliance.
Withrow is responsible for assisting with compliance and eligibility for the 17 varsity sport programs as well as serving as an assistant coach with the women’s lacrosse team. Among her duties, Withrow coordinates transfer eligibility, manages team rosters and confirmation of eligibility forms while also overseeing eligibility appeals and maintaining all eligibility records as per the guidelines, policies and procedures of the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) and National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).
Withrow came to Montclair State in 2007 and since joining the staff, the Red Hawks have won four Skyline Conference championships while also making four appearances in the NCAA Division III Women’s Lacrosse Championship, including the 2011 campaign. Over the past five seasons, Montclair State has won 56 games which also includes an amazing 33-1 record in the Skyline.
Withrow was a standout lacrosse player at Mount St. Mary’s University where he helped the team to consecutive Northeast Conference titles in 2004 and 2005 and the school’s first two NCAA Division I Tournament appearances. She graduated from Mount St. Mary’s in 2006 with her degree in Criminal Justice.
