Glassboro, NJ (9/14/11)– Two 45-minutes halves, plus another pair of 10-minute overtimes couldn't produce a winner as Montclair State and Rowan University played to a scoreless draw in the New Jersey Athletic Conference opener for both teams on Wednesday evening.
The Red Hawks (3-1-2, 0-0-1 NJAC) dominated the shot column of the box score outshooting the Profs 30-9, including 16-4 in the second half and all six shots in the two overtime periods. However, despite the wide margin of chances, the MSU couldn't find a way to get a shot past Rowan keeper Ryan Gill (so. West Deptford, NJ/West Deptford), who made eight saves.
Montclair State junior goalkeeper Anthony Rogic (Boonton, NJ / Morris Catholic) made three saves as he collected his second shutout of the season.
The Red Hawks are back in action on Saturday, September 17 as they face Medgar Evers College at MSU Soccer Park beginning at 3:00 pm.
