The Center for Child Advocacy at Montclair State is offering anti-bullying training for school personnel, parents, college students and professionals working with children who wish to gain a deeper understanding of bullying. The training will take place two consecutive Saturdays, Nov. 5 and 6, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in University Hall on the Montclair State campus. Cost for the program is $245 and participants will receive an Anti-Bullying Certificate from the Center for Child Advocacy.
Expert faculty will present information on bullying with an emphasis on the New Jersey anti-bullying law and what the law means for children. Topics include:
• Definitions and types of bullying
• Characteristics of victims
• The bullying spectrum
• Current intervention
• Short- and long-term effects of bullying
• Prevention strategies
• New Jersey's anti-bullying las
