Montclair, NJ (10/9/11) –  Senior kicker Jake DelVento (Island Heights, NJ / Toms River South) was selected as the New Jersey Athletic Conference Special Teams Player of the Week for the second time this season.

DelVento earns the award after helping No. 7 Montclair State post a 34-33 win over No. 15 Cortland. A year after missing the game-winning kick in a one-point loss at Cortland, he connected from 32 yards out with just 1:16 remaining to secure the key NJAC victory for the Red Hawks. He finished the game with 10 points on a pair of field goals and a 4-for-4 day on extra point attempts.

DelVento currently leads the NJAC in field goals made (10), which is tied for the seventh-best season total in program history.
