New York, NY (10/15/11) - The Montclair State volleyball team dropped a three-set match to Baruch College at the Athletic and Recreation Center on Saturday afternoon. The Red Hawks (9-14) lost to the Bearcats by scores of 25-9, 25-15 and 25-22.

Freshman Daniella Salemo (Ramsey, NJ / Ramsey) collected a team-high eight kills while Sara Girgus (Green Brook, NJ / Watchung Hills) added six kills. Freshman Alyssa Willis (Parsippany, NJ / Parsippany Hills) had four kills while freshman setter Angela Campo (Washington Township, NJ / Westwood) colleted 20 assists along with seven digs. Kimberly Butrico (Cresskill, NJ / Cresskill) led the way with 16 digs with Alyssa Batiste (Manahawkin, NJ / Southern Regional) posting a pair of kills and nine digs.

Montclair State returns to action on Thursday, October 22 with an important NJAC match at local rival William Paterson. First serve at the WPU Rec Center in Wayne is slated for 7:00 pm. The Red Hawks are battling for one of the final spots in the NJAC Tournament, which begins on Tuesday, November 1.
