Always Wondered about Living on Campus?

Did you know that students who live on campus are more likely to do better in their classes and finish their degree on time than those who don’t?  Current students don’t have to wait until September to move on campus - Spring housing is available! For more information please go to http://www.montclair.edu/resed/housing/commuter.html

With over 120 clubs and student organizations, it’s not all about hitting the books.  Get involved on campus, build friendships that will last a lifetime and, most importantly, have fun.

Taking the Residential Experience to new Heights

The Heights, the newest addition to campus, is the largest residential and dining facility on a college campus in New Jersey.  With accommodations for 2,000 students, The Heights is definitely the new hot spot on campus.  Just a few steps to the Student Recreation Center and Sam’s Place, a new dining facility on campus, The Heights is packed with amenities. In The Heights, two roommates share a suite with either one shared bedroom or two single bedrooms.  Each suite has its own private bathroom.

Dine in style! Sam's Place is the new 640-seat dining facility at The Heights featuring six themed restaurant stations offering menu selections that include: comfort foods, healthy choices, exotic international dishes, Italian cuisine, grilled favorites, and deli sandwiches.

Traditional Style Living

Sinatra Hall offers suite style living for 300 students, with a full bathroom, powder room, and shower room in each suite, and a lounge on every floor. Suites house 6-8 residents in a combination of single, double, and triple bedrooms along Clove Road on the western edge of the campus.

Looking for a more traditional living arrangement?    In Bohn Hall, a 16 floor residence hall housing approximately 500 students, residents live in traditional rooms and share a community bathroom in a gender-specific wing.  Every room is equipped with its own sink and vanity mirror.  If you’re lucky enough to get an eastward facing room, you may even be treated to breathtaking views of the New York City skyline.

The cutting edge Student Recreation Center is a full-service gym for Montclair State students.  The Recreation Center features a six-lane swimming pool, a two-court gymnasium with elevated running track, two racquetball courts, strength and cardio training areas, and a snack bar, Rocky’s Perch.

Suite-style living is available in Freeman Hall, which houses 260 students and boasts its own dining room, and Russ Hall, with 100 students and which is open year-round, on the southern end of campus near the main entrance.

Apartment Style Living

Housing 340 upperclassmen, Hawk Crossings is a garden apartment community at the western edge of campus. Each apartment accommodates 4 students and features a kitchen, a combination living/dining area, two bedrooms, and full bath.  Shuttle buses run around the clock to get you to the center of campus in no time flat.

The Village at Little Falls, an apartment complex for 848 upperclassmen, provides the ultimate independent living experience.  Four roommates share an apartment, either in one double room and two single rooms, or four single rooms.  Each apartment features a full kitchen (with a dishwasher!), a combination living/dining room, and two full baths.  The complex also boasts a fitness room, half basketball court, and an outdoor swimming pool.
