MSU Celebrates Diversity Week

Equity and Diversity Programs at the Women's Center and the Office of Education and Community Outreach (OECO), School of the Arts are proud to announce the first Diversity Week at Montclair State University which will take place November 12 through November 19, 2005.

This series, part of MSUís ongoing commitment to increase diversity initiatives for the community, will include art exhibitions, photo exhibits, film screenings, panel discussions, and multicultural music and dance performances.

The week will end with the National Conference for Community and Justice (NCCJ) which will focus on diversity issues in Higher Education. Five NJ university presidents, including Montclair State University's President Susan A. Cole, are featured panelists. Through the celebration of Diversity Week, Equity and Diversity Programs and the School of the Arts seek to instill a university and community-wide appreciation and tolerance for diverse perspectives while uniting students, faculty, staff, alumni, and surrounding community members in an inclusive setting.

Events will be held at various locations throughout the campus and are free and open to the general public unless otherwise noted. For more information on Diversity Week at MSU please visit www.montclair.edu/womenscenter or call Marie Sparks at 973-655-7070.
