Montclair, NJ (12/1/11) – The Montclair State men's soccer team made one final preparation for Friday's NCAA national semifinal match and had a little bit of fun with members of Special Olympics while also getting a chance to meet NCAA President Dr. Mark Emmert on Day 2 of the NCAA Division III Soccer Championships in San Antonio on Thursday.
The Red Hawks got a chance to view Blossom Soccer Stadium where they will square off against Ohio Wesleyan University at 6:30 p.m on Friday. Montclair then headed to the Star Soccer Complex for one last practice. Following the workout, the Red Hawks then took part in a one-hour clinic with members of the Special Olympics working with the members on various soccer skills. The team also got some help from the Olympians during their pre-game ritual (Video). The student-athletes then got a chance to meet with the NCAA President, who saw first-hand the NCAA's new initiative with Special Olympics.
Montclair State's journey to the NCAA Championship began on Wednesday, November 30 as they departed from
campus at 3:30 a.m. arriving in San Antonio by lunchtime and
quickly went to work in preparation for their contest with the Battling

University before making their way to the tournament hotel.
