August, named MSU Athlete of the Week for the fourth time this season, had another solid week averaging 22.0 points, 7.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists as Montclair State improved to 14-4 on the season in a 1-1 week. He did all he could scoring 22 points along with six rebounds and four assists in 70-62 loss at defending champion New Jersey City. Augusut then registered 22 points, his sixth consecutive game of 20 or more points, along nine rebounds and five assists as Montclair bounced back winning for the seventh time in eight outings with a 72-53 win at Rutgers-Camden. August currently leads the team in scoring (20.6), rebounding (9.3), assists (3.3 apg) and field goal percentage (.566). He is ranked second in the NJAC in scoring and rebounding and leads the conference in field goal percentage.Gearity returned to action after a one-month layoff and showed no signs of rust from the hiatus as Montclair State took part in the NYC Gotham Cup at The Armory on Friday evening. Gearity posted an ECAC qualifying time while finishing 10th in the 400 meters in a field of Division I, II and III competitors. Her time (59.35) is currently seventh in the nation. She then ran a personal best in the 60 hurdles registering a time of 9.77 seconds.
