Palestinian Culture in the Context of Gaza 2/16

Dr. Mohammed Moin Sadeq is a Global Education Center Visiting International Scholar for the spring semester. He is director of the Palestinian Department of Antiquities in Gaza and is a distinguished scholar in the field of archaeology. Dr. Sadeq was a Fulbright Scholar at MSU in 2004, and has returned to MSU as a Global Education Visiting International Scholar. He is teaching in the Classics and General Humanities, and Art and Design departments.

Dr. Sadeq was previously a Fulbright Scholar at the University of Chicago Oriental Institute, working in the Department of Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations. He started his studies at Cairo University and received a Ph.D. in archaeology from The Free University of Berlin. In addition to teaching at Gaza universities and organizing exhibitions in Europe and in the Middle East, Dr. Sadeq has also written scripts and moderated television programs on tourism in Palestine. He has written extensively on archaeology and antiquities of the region, and has participated in a large number of archaeological excavations with international teams.
