Tax season is upon us! If you lived in the US in 2011, you will need to file taxes this year. If you earned any income in 2011, the deadline for filing is April 17, 2012. If you did not earn any income, but still lived in the US, the deadline is June 15, 2012.

International Services can make the process easier for you by showing you how to use GLACIER (formerly CINTAX), a web-based tax filing system for international students and scholars. If you are interested in learning how to use GLACIER, please attend one of the following workshops, Each workshop will last about an hour.

GLACIER is only appropriate for F-1 and J-1 students who have been in the US for 5 years or less, and for J-1 scholars who have been in the US for 2 years or less. If you have been in the US for longer than this, you must file taxes using the forms that Americans use.
