To be nominated for the Academic All-America program, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore with a 3.3 or higher cumulative grade point average (GPA) and be a starter or significant reserve.
A four-year starter, Ericson is currently second on the Red Hawks in scoring (10.8 ppg) and rebounding (5.6 rpg) in addition to 29 assists and 27 steals this season. She became the 17th player in program history to score 1,000 career points in December and holds the Montclair State single-game, single-season and career marks for three-point field goals. Ericson, a two-time All-NJAC selection, has scored 1,087 points in 99 career games and has registered 118 assists and 120 steals.
Ericson is a member of Montclair State’s TALON, which conducts numerous community service projects throughout the year, including the annual Holiday Toy Drive and Essex County Special Olympics. A three-time NJAC All-Academic Team selection, Ericson is a seven-time Dean’s List student with four semesters of a perfect 4.00 grade-point average. Ericson is majoring in Early and Middle School Child Education with a 3.93 GPA.
