About the Program
This seminar teaches a practical and effective method of street-smart self-defense. We utilize training techniques that are geared towards a real world approach that help the student to gain confidence and the tools they need to survive and escape a realistic encounter. In addition to physical techniques, topics discussed and taught are crime prevention issues as well as situational and environmental awareness. The seminar is taught in an open relaxed environment by expert instructors. The seminar is a condensed version of the Street Smart Self Defense Program which is offered at Montclair State on a weekly basis for students, faculty, and staff during the school semester.
