Jones was named the New Jersey Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week honors after traveling to New York City to compete at the NJAC Championships contested at the New York Armory. She placed first in a field of 15 competitors in the 200 meters with a personal-best time of 25.94. She also placed second in a field of 15 competitors in the 60-meter dash with a conference-record time of 7.98. She also was a member of both MSU’s 4x200 and 4x400 meter relays which placed second with respective runner-up times of 1:44.08 and 3:59.17. The 4x200 meter relay team broke the school record in the event eclipsing the mark set last year at the same meet. The performances by Jones helped the Red Hawks claim fourth place overall in the nine-team NJAC Championship. It was the Red Hawks best showing at the league meet since 2007.Tancer helped the men's team finish fifth at the NJAC Championships with a pair of Top 10 finishes. He captured his first individual championship winning the shot put with a winning toss nearly one-meter further than the second-place finisher. Tancer had a best distance of 15.45 meters. He then placed eighth in the weight throw with a toss of 12.01 meters.
