Red Hawks Finish Indoor Track and Field Season at Columbia Last Chance Meet

New York, NY – The Montclair State men’s indoor track and field team closed out their 2011-2012 schedule on Saturday at the Columbia Last Chance meet held at the New Balance Track and Field Center.

Senior Jon Tancer (Montville, NJ, Montville) posted a best throw of 14.68 meters in the shot put. Ruaidhri Walsh (Bloomfield, NJ, Hudson Catholic) went 12.01 meters with Brian Dethlefsen (Basking Ridge, NJ, Ridge) registering a mark of 12.01 meters. Pole vaulter Andrew Florez (Hoboken, NJ, Eastern Christian) had a height of 3.90 meters.

On the track, Ahmier Dupree (Lakewood, NJ, Lakewood) ran 7.23 seconds in the 60 meter dash before coming back to record a time of 23.63 seconds in the 200 meters.

Junior Niyi Adenugba (North Brunswick, NJ, North Brunswick) recorded a time of 8.76 seconds in the 60 hurdles with Ian Poinsett (Salem, NJ, Salem) and Eric Gershey (Boonton, NJ, Parsippany Hills) posting times of 51.27 and 53.08, respectively, in the 400 meters.
