The Graduate School and the Master of Arts in Theater has helped me grow as an artist. I have been able to identify the areas of study I wish to investigate further while discovering new possibilities I had not considered before. The community of students I have found in my classmates is also a valuable source of support and encouragement - both personally and professionally.

I have been teaching theatre arts at an urban, public high school for over a decade. As a graduate student, my contact with fellow students, professors, and the University community at large has helped me expand the opportunities I can offer my students. I have been able to pair up my students with college mentors. The research skills and dramaturgy experience I have gained have directly improved my teaching.
