Students Travel to Pennington Biomedical Research Center

Four CQOR students, Yasmin Begum, Shanakey Cupidon, Yuna Maeda, and Mahzabin Tibbi traveled to Pennington Biomedical Research Center in March 2012 for a two day intense training session.  Students met with leading nutrition, exercise, and health experts and were trained on developing clinical trial design, whole body imaging techniques, obtaining skin fold measurements, and working with behavioral aspects of interventions.  CQOR student Yuna Maeda described her visit by stating  “PBRC really is like a toy store for researchers; everything there is top-notch and everything is utilized in such an amazing way.”  Students will present highlights of their trip at the Physics Club meeting on Wednesday April 25 at 5:00 in RI 261.
