Valon Sopaj, a 2003 graduate of the B.A. studio program (specialization in graphic design) in the Department of Art & Design, was part of a team of about 20 creative individuals and another 100 technicians that created a nine ton public art work entitled "NEWBORN." The enormous public art work, 24-meter-long by 3-meter-high (78-feet by 9-feet) structure was unveiled on February 17, 2008, in conjunction with the signing of the constitution of Kosovo, establishing its independence from Serbia.
