First-Ever Student Film Showcase Presented At The Claridge Theatre in Montclair
The Montclair State University filmmaking program—the only BFA degree program in filmmaking in New Jersey—presents the best of student works during its first ever student film public screening.
The BFA program in filmmaking, offered through the Department of Art and Design in the College of the Arts, was instituted two years ago and is taught by working professionals in the fields of narrative, documentary, and experimental filmmaking. Currently, the program has over 100 students majoring in the program, some of whom have already gained recognition through awards by the Princess Grace Foundation (2007), the New Jersey Young Filmmaker’s Festival, Avid’s Foundation, and professional industry associations.
