After you survive finals and late-night studying, you might be tempted to sleep away your winter break. We’ve come up with some great online choices to help you make the most of your vacation. It’s up to you if you want to stay in your pajamas.

Montclair State University offers about 100 winter classes to help you graduate on time – or early! Most classes are offered fully online, while some are in a hybrid format that combines classes on campus and online coursework. You can earn credits or explore an elective while still being able to enjoy your break, whether it’s taking advantage of New York City happenings or enjoying holiday traditions with friends and family.

Most winter sessions take just three weeks to complete – here are three good reasons why you should apply. Learn everything you need to know about the Montclair State Winter Session. Classes start on Dec. 22.

1: New Year’s Resolution You Can Keep

With the opportunity to complete a course in just three weeks, you’ll have made a smart choice to get ahead in the new year. All courses run Friday, Dec. 22-Friday, Jan. 12, 2018 (the on-campus component of hybrid courses begin on Monday, Jan. 2, 2018).

What’s being offered? You can view the winter courses in NEST, our online student system. Search by term 2018 Winter and subject area. The schedule on NEST contains the latest course details and course catalog descriptions. View winter course schedule.

2: All the Comforts of Home

Online winter courses mean you don’t necessarily have to come to campus to do the work. And as the cold sets in, you’ll come to appreciate the convenience of the no-mittens-needed click instead of a campus trek to class.

3: A Great Option for NJ Residents Home for the Holidays

Our winter session is open to Montclair State students – AND – visiting students who attend other universities and colleges. Our course list includes undergraduate and graduate classes, a menu of choices as rich as a holiday banquet.

Taking a class can help you graduate on time, accelerate your degree program, provide flexibility with your schedule, or focus on challenging courses. Registration may be completed up to and including the first day of the course as long as the course is open. College students currently enrolled in school and in good academic standing are eligible to register.
