As professor of Economics and Finance, Luis San VincentePortes, PhD, examines current the topics of international macroeconomics, national economic policies and issues, in addition to economic development with a consideration of poverty and inequality. His experience as a consultant at the World Bank and Inter-American Development Bank, as well as on the Ministry of Finance Mexico and Petroleos Mexicanos PEMEX, informs his research into these modern day issues.
His articles have appeared in such publications as the Quarterly Review of Economics and Finance, the Journal of Economic Review and the Global Economy Journal. He is the author of The Soulful Science: What Economists Really Do and Why It Matters and the co-author of Women’s Employment and Households’ Consumption-Savings Decisions.
