Passaic River Institute Director and Biology and Molecular Biology Associate Professor Dr. Meiyin Wu’s research centers on species invasion, wetland ecology and management, and ecological restoration. Her expertise extends to movements and impacts of pollutants and the impacts of global climate changes on the distribution and competition of invasive species.
The author of more than 20 books and articles, she has recently received a National Science Foundation (NSF) grant to study greenhouse gas emissions from tidal wetlands in the New Jersey Meadowlands. Dr. Wu is also the project director of the NSF-funded Research Experience for Undergraduates program on Multidisciplinary Environmental Research at the New Jersey School of Conservation.
