Reports

President (Amanda Kucsera): Make a Child Smile was a Success we made 55 cards for terminally ill children.  I will be sending out the cards to six children this week. We raised $118.16 from our Valentines bake sale we cosponsored with PSP for autism. Thank you to everyone who participated in these two events they were both huge successes! At 2:30 today Alissa, Maria and I attended a Class II and III meeting with Jen Frank.  Our table hours for the American Heart Association have been confirmed but we needed to change them from 1-4 to 12-3 on Tuesday March 4th.  I also got all the Mardi Gras Decorations for Redhawk Nite which will be held in the Student Center Ballroom C, I received a confirmation e-mail today.

 

Vice President (Maria Vicente): I am trying to contact the Montclair Animal Shelter. We will most likely get the opportunity to go individually based on your availability or in very small groups since the shelter does not need large groups at one time.

 

Secretary (Michelle Hagerty):  I will be leaving the event and attendance sheet on a table at the end of meetings so from now on you can sign up for events after the meeting is adjourned to avoid confusion during the meeting.

 

Treasurer (Alissa Mahadeen):  No report

 

PR (Kelly Teegan): Next week I will be bringing fliers so if anyone is interested in helping PR you are more than welcome to take some to post or hand out.

 

New Business:

 

Amanda- Redhawk Nite will official be in SC Ballroom C!  Kelly will be bringing HEART fliers to the event that you can take to help PR.

 

Our Advisor Lisa Sargese was nice enough to come and demonstrate the Kinesiology technique she will be doing in our room at Redhawk Nite and she also bought cool Mardi Gras Masks for the Event! Thank you Lisa!

Maria: Mintco is the only club on Campus for Teacher Ed students.  I am the secretary and we are always happy to get new members.  Our meetings are every other Tuesday from 5:30-7:00 PM.  On March 7 we are having a movie night at 5:30 PM

 

Lisa- The Women’s Center is having a random acts of kindness Day on April 1. Would HEART be interested in Co-sponsoring? (We agreed and there will be a box at Red Hawk Nite). Also if you or anyone you know is feeling unmotivated Stop by the Drop-In-Center every Thursday where Lisa and Coach Darren will be having the Motivation Station from 2:00-3:00 PM!
