Meet H.e.a.r.t.’s e-board

Ø President: Amanda Kucsera

Amanda is a junior with a major in Family and Child Studies and a concentration in Early and Middle Childhood (K-5). After graduating she hopes to teach in a near by elementary school and open up her own day care center. Amanda has been with H.E.A.R.T. for three years, and this is her second year on the E-board. She served as Secretary in Fall 06 and Vice President from Spring 07-Fall 07. Amanda is also an active brother of Phi Sigma Pi National Co-Ed Honor Fraternity. When she is not in school Amanda works as an Assistant Teacher at the YMCA.

Ø Vice President: Maria Vicente

Maria is a senior with a major in Family & Child Studies with concentration in Early & Middle Childhood Education (K-5) and a double minor in Psychology and Spanish. After gaining her Bachelor's degree she hopes to pursue a Masters in either Spanish, Counseling and/or Teaching. She hopes to one day become a first grade teacher and/or Spanish teacher. She has been a member with H.E.A.R.T since Fall 2007 and this is her first semester as an E-board member.

Ø Secretary: Michelle Hagerty

Michelle is a sophomore with a Family and Child Studies major with concentration in Early and Middle Childhood Education (K-5).  Once she finishes her undergraduate at Montclair State, she would like to pursue a Teaching career.  She has been involved with H.E.A.R.T. since September of 2006, and this is her first semester as an E-board member. 

Ø Treasurer: Alissa Mahadeen

Alissa is a sophmore who is studying Early Childhood Education.  Once she graduates, she hopes to find a teaching job in a nearby elementary school and earn a degree in Special Education.  She has been involved with H.E.A.R.T. since her freshman year and this is her first year on the E-Board.  Alissa also works as a teacher's aid for special education students. She is also involved in the MSU Choir.

Ø Public Relations: Kelly Teegan

Kelly is a junior with a major in Family and Child Studies.  She has a concentration in Early and Middle Childhood (K-5). Once she graduates she would like to persue her masters in Special Education and possibly Speech Pathology. Kelly plans on teaching 2nd grade or Special Education in the nearby area.  She joined H.E.A.R.T. as a way to be more active on campus and to reach out to others.. This is Kelly's first year on the E-Board.
