The Monarca Chapter of Lambda Sigma Upsilon Latino Fraternity Incorporated was established on April 4th, 1984 at Montclair State University by 7 men who felt the need to unify all minority men in the community. These men where:

These men created an outlet for others to learn leadership skills, find their cultural identity, achieve academic success, engage in community service and a sense of brotherhood that could not be broken. The Monarca chapter has been a vital part to LSU's success. It continues to be one of the biggest chapters in the fraternity
