River Clean Ups

NJ Community Water Watch actively engages its students and volunteers in river clean-ups. With the help of the Passaic River/Newark Bay Restoration Crew, volunteers removed 10 tons of trash from a 1/4 mile section of the Passaic River in Paterson. Not only are cleanups a great way to make a difference, but they're fun, too. Meet new people, get FREE food and a FREE tshirt! You just CANNOT go wrong.
The MSU chapter does three clean ups a semester (as well as two in the summer), however, we also colaborate on other community groups' events. We attend events sponsored by Friends of Clark's Pond and Third River. Volunteers love to get down and dirty and help to make the water a little bit cleaner.

Tom Pietrykoski and Carlos Jorge haul tires up to dumpster.   It's not a cleanup with out tires!
