MPS has helped me in a number of ways:
1. It has connected me to peers on the same level as I am and basically gave me a great group of friends that I can relate to because they are experiencing the same things at the same time.
2. MPS has shown me what I have to do to get into the graduate programs of my choice. The club is very clear with its mission and truly supports me in every step I take.
3. MPS has also shown me many opportunities that would be beneficial to me, including workshops on campus, research openings with several students and faculties, and more. MPS is super!

MPS has been a huge support system in my career goals as a clinical psychologist. MPS has connected me to many resources that are critical in applying to graduate school. Some of these include, conducting research, presenting at conferences, and joining psychological associations. I'm thankful for this program in giving us a mentor who is there guide us in the process to ensure academic and professional success.

MPS has helped to be focused on the things I need to do for graduate school. It has helped me network with people whose goals are parallel to my own. In addition, it has given me comfort and security in knowing that I am aware of the requirements I need to fulfill in order to successfully pursue a graduate school education. If it weren't for MPS I would be lost. I so grateful to be part of such a wonderful organization.

MPS has allowed to me to connect with a diverse group of peers and faculty. The organization has educated on me on the importance of gaining experience in my undergraduate career to strengthen my application for graduate school. With out MPS I would not be as equip to deal with the challenges I am bound to face when I graduate. Lastly, MPS also offers opportunities to gain research experience.
MPS has helped me in so many ways, I could not possibly imagine as a new student to Montclair State. Through meeting the members, attending the weekly meetings, and becoming an active member, I gained a new adviser, who understands my needs and is more than happy to guide me to achieving my goals, help from upperclassmen, who show me the many opportunities to improve myself as a student as well as an applicant for future graduate program, including research opportunities and most importantly friends, to help me though the hard times of preparing for grad school and dealing with every day class and life problems. So thank you MPS for making my undergrad experience, as a psychology major, so much more than a degree, but a fruitful experience. :)
Being a part of MPS has opened up many doors for me. When first coming to Montclair State University, I was completely lost as to what classes I should take as a psychology major. MPS has guided me in, not only what psychology classes I should take, but other classes that will prepare for a career in psychology, how to gain research experience, clubs associated with psychology, how to create a CV, how to apply to graduate programs, and conferences to attend. Most of all, I learned about the MARC U-STAR program through members of MPS and I was accepted into the program, which is a huge accomplishment for me, and I feel very confident about getting accepting into a doctoral program. MPS is the first organization in which I am a part of an Executive Board and the experience has been amazing. The students who I have met in this club have become some of my closest friends, and it made me feel more at ease that we were all a part of a learning community. Almost like a family :)
My experiences with the Multicultural Psychology Scholars have been nothing less than amazing. This is an organization that really is there to help you if you have any questions or just need someone to talk to. I knew I wanted to pursue a career in Psychology, however the field being so broad it was difficult to narrow down to a specific subfield. Once I spoke with some of the members of this organization and going to a few workshops with them I was able to narrow down to a specific concentration. This members of the Multicultural Psychology Scholars have become friends to me as well as outlets of information that I am honored to have as a part of my life. The best experience of all is being able to return the help that was graciously given to me, to the new First-year students that are entering into Montclair State U. I hope to inspire people to also help others, motivate them to work, and work to achieve.
It has helped me become friends with, and understand many different nationalities that I did not know before. This program has given me the opportunity to speak my mind, and learn about others in many different ways. I am very appreciative for that, and this has opened my mind even more than before. I believe diversity, and multiculturalism is very important, especially with the world we live in today. I am not afraid to speak my mind, or date interracially. MPS has helped me to explore things about myself, and others I did not recognize previously. I have met many wonderful, and diverse people! :)
