CHALLENGE TEST INFORMATION

Students who are currently taking a Basic Skills Course are NOT eligible for a Challenge Test in that area.  Students who have previously failed a Basic Skills course should not take the Challenge Test in that area. Passing the Challenge Test allows you to waive the original course you placed into.

WRITING CHALLENGE TEST:  Introduction to Writing and College Writing I instructors regularly re-evaluate Basic Skills placement decisions by means of writing assignments given early in the semester.  Upon an instructors recommendation, the Freshman English Coordinator evaluates and tries to re-place students if openings are available.  The English Department is located in Dickson Hall, room 468.
