INTERPRETING YOUR PLACEMENT TEST SCORES

ENROLLMENT REQUIREMENTS
Full-time students must enroll in required Developmental courses in their first semester and complete these requirements during their first year of enrollment.
Part-time students must enroll in at least one of the required Developmental courses during their first semester and continue each semester until all required courses are completed.  All requirements must be completed within the first two years of enrollment.

DEVELOPMENTAL COURSES
Developmental courses at Montclair State University are intended to provide the extra assistance some students need to be successful in the university setting. Therefore, these courses should be taken as early in the academic career as possible.  Credits for developmental courses affect your enrollment status as full-time or part-time.  The table below explains how each course contributes toward degree credits and grade point average (GPA).
