ADULT LEARNING

The CAAAL Adult Learning program, dedicated to lifelong learning, offers academic, career, and personal support services to non-traditional and working students who

  • Possess a high school degree or the GED (required)
  • Are pursuing an undergraduate degree (required)
  • Have not been enrolled in a college or university for at least the last 2 years (required)
  • Are 25 years of age or older (required).

Adult students often visit CAAAL for pre- and post-admission advising sessions.

In addition, the Adult Learning program offers the GNED 100 Adult Academic Success Seminar, a required 2-credit course that through its focus on note taking, stress and time management, study and writing skills, helps many adult students to transition from the responsibilities of the workplace to the academics of the classroom.

CAAAL informs adult students about Montclair State University events and resources through email and an Adult Learning Newsletter.
