On Thursday, February 1, Montclair State University held the "East Meets West: The Diversity of Israeli Cooking." Celia Regev, a professional chef for more than 25 years, was the featured guest speaker and presented a lecture and cooking demonstration. The University’s Food Management students also created samples of Regev’s recipes for the event’s attendants. This event was sponsored by The Global Education Center.
Mary English, assistant professor of the Classics and General Humanities and editor of The Classical Outlook journal, received the 2006 Phoenix Award for Significant Editorial Achievement from the Council of Editors and Learned Journals.
