All students must maintain a 2.0 cumulative GPA to be in Good Standing academically. If a student's cumulative GPA falls below 2.0, regardless of the number of hours attempted, they will be placed on Academic Probation. Students placed on academic probation are required to meet immediately with an academic advisor to discuss plans for improving their academic record.

While under academic probation, students have one semester to bring their cumulative GPA to the 2.0 minimum or better. Students who do not obtain a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or better after one semester on probation will be placed on academic suspension.  Students will have the option to appeal the academic suspension decision. See the Academic Suspension section of this website for more information.

Students readmitted from academic suspension must earn at least a 2.0 semester GPA his/her first semester back or the student will be academically dismissed. In addition, students readmitted from the academic suspension must have at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA after two semesters back or the student will be academically dismissed. See the Academic Dismissal section of this website for more information
