BATES, LOUTCHOUK SET NEW MARKS AS RED HAWKS FINISH SEVENTH, EIGHTH AT METRO CHAMPIONSHIPS

New Brunswick, NJ (2/24/08) – Freshman Galina Loutchouk and senior Kristine Bates each set new school records as the Montclair State men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams closed out competition at the 2008 Metropolitan Conference Championships held at the Sonny Werblin Rec Center at Rutgers University on Sunday. The MSU women’s team placed seventh in the field of 19 teams as the Red Hawks amassed 577 points while setting four school records. Meanwhile the men’s squad was eighth (of 15 teams) with 452.5 points. Ricky Miller (right) record his third Top 8 finish in the meet as he placed seventh in the 200 butterfly.

LOUTCHOUK POSTS NEW MARK IN 400 IM ON DAY TWO OF METRO CHAMPIONSHIPS
