JANKO MARKO
Third Season |
| Janko Marko is in his third season and assists with the Montclair State throwers. Marko has a wealth of international experience as he spent several years in Albania where he served as the General Secretary of the Albanian Track anf Field Federation. In addition Marko served as an assistant track and field coach at Riverdale Country High School in the Bronx and is also certified as a strength and conditioning trainer. |

MARIO SANTIVANEZ
Third Season
Kean University, 2005 |
| Mario Santivanez begins his third season with the Red Hawks as the distance coach and brings a great deal of success to MSU both on the collegiate and international levels. A standout at Kean University from 2003-2005, Santivanez was a three-time All-NJAC member in both cross country and track where he set five individual records (1500, 3000, 500, Mile, 10,000 meters) while helping relay teams (4x800 and Distance Medley) establish two more. In 2004, Santivanez was named the Most Outstanding Athlete at the 2004 NJAC Indoor Championships after capturing the 5,000 meters as he posted a time of 15:18.74, over 47 seconds ahead of the next finisher. He also placed second in the 3000 meters with a time of 8:50.12. Named the NJSIAA Student-Athlete of the Yearwhile at Hackensack High School in 1999, Santivanez also represented Bolivia at the IAAF World Cross Country Championships in 2004 and set the nation's standar in the 3000 meters. Santivanez earned his degree in Biology from Kean in 2005 and was the Presidetn of the Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) while also begin chosen for Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities. He has also served as a track and field offcial for the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association. |
