GODUTO EARNS ALL-AMERICAN HONORS; PLACES 5TH AT NCAA CHAMPIONSHIPS

Ewing, NJ ( 3/4/06) – Senior Derrick Goduto (right) fnished in fifth place and became the 100th All-American in Montclair State history as the Red Hawks closed out their 2005-06 season at the NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships held at The College of New Jersey on Saturday. GODUTO, BEIERMEISTER HEADED TO NCAAs; MSU PLACES 6TH AT METROPOLITAN CHAMPIONSHIPS

York, PA ( 2/19/06) – Senior Derrick Goduto (right) captured the 133 pound weight class and will make a return trip to the NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships as Montclair State placed sixth at the Metropolitan Conference Wrestling Championships on Sunday at York College. Joining Goduto at the NCAAs will be 285-pounder Bill Beiermeister, who was selected as a wild-card entry.

SPRINGFIELD TOPS MSU IN DUAL MEET FINALE

Montclair, NJ ( 2/8/06) – The Montclair State wrestling team closed out their dual meet season on Wednesday as the Red Hawks fell to 26th-ranked Springfield College, 34-10. Derrick Goduto (right), improved to 15-1 on the year as he posted an 11-2 major decision at 133 pounds.
