SISTI NAMED NJAC, ECAC OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Montclair, NJ (10/29/07) – Sophomore Natalia Sisti (right) was named the New Jersey Athletic Conference and ECAC Division III Ofensive Player of the Week on Monday. Sisti scored twice in the final 20 minutes as the Red Hawks edged Kean University, 3-2 in the opening round of the NJAC Tournament last Saturday.

Sisti came up huge scoring twice inside the final 2-0 minutes as Montclair State rallied from a 2-0 deficit to defeat Kean University in the first round of the NJAC Tournament. Trailing 2-0, Sisti scored with 19:25 to play cutting the deficit to a goal. After the Red Hawks tied the game with 2:44 left, Sisti notched the game winner with 33 seconds left, her 11th of the season to give Montclair the victory.

Sisti also regained the team lead in goals with 11 and now has 28 in her two seasons, which is fifth all-time in MSU history.
