Office of Communications
When you see something about Montclair State University -- a newspaper article, a photograph, a billboard, student recruitment materials, the catalog, the football program, the alumni newsletter, even this Web site -- chances are nine in ten that it was the work of someone in the Communications Office. Public Information, Periodicals, Publications, Photography, Web Services, Advertising and Marketing all come under the Communications umbrella. The ultimate purpose of this group is to bring information about Montclair State University and its many programs and achievements to the public.
An overall, integrated marketing plan begins the process by identifying who the audiences are and what information it would be helpful for them to have. Then the best means of distributing that information must be determined. Eventually all the aspects of the Communications Office play their parts in developing, refining and getting the messages to both the campus community and the greater community off-campus.
