Goals
The Cooperative Education Fund for the Future (CEFF) was established in 2004 to commemorate the 30th Anniversary of the Co-op Program. Through the gifts of MSU Co-op alumni, CEFF will fund projects that address community needs and advance the civic and professional development of students. By building on the resources and partnerships established by the Co-op Program, this Fund will serve as a catalyst for community engagement, support experiential education programs, facilitate interdisciplinary projects, highlight campus-community achievements and encourage institutional change to support the scholarship of engagement. Objective
Distribution of funds: Each year a committee will be selected by the Cooperative Education
Program to determine the projects to fund. Dr. Freyda Lazarus, founding
director of the Cooperative Education Program will serve as the chair.
Through donations by MSU Alumni, the projects will be funded on a yearly
basis with the possibility of renewal for a second year based on the progress
made in year one. Contributions to the Co-op Fund for the Future: Donations are to be sent to The MSU Foundation, Montclair, New Jersey 07043. Gifts for the Cooperative Education Alumni Fund for the Future must be designated as such on the check. All co-op alumni gifts will be included in the donor honor roll published annually in Alumni Life. The Alumni Association Board will also extend membership with all privileges to donors of the Cooperative Education Alumni Fund for the Future. |
