For three decades, Freyda Lazarus has established campus-community partnerships and built the infrastructure to support the development of the Cooperative Education and Service-Learning programs. She has been at the forefront of public policy change by serving in leadership roles in national professional organizations (NJCEA, CEA and NSEE) and advancing experiential education as chair of MSU’s Senate Committee for Experiential Education. The author of 15 published articles, texts, and handbooks, she has offered over 30 workshops and training programs for academic and business decision-makers. Dr. Lazarus earned a B.S. from Rochester Institute of Technology, an M. Ed. from Virginia Commonwealth University and an Ed. D. from Columbia University, Teachers College.

Dana Natale joins us as COPC coordinator with a BA in psychology and an MA in practical anthropology from Montclair State University. She has worked with a number of environmental justice organizations over the last ten years, was formerly the associate director for operations and development with the National Housing Institute and Shelterforce magazine and for two years conducted research at Mount Sinai School of Medicine. Dana’s work has been published in High Plains Applied Anthropologist, the Journal of Palliative Medicine and the New England Journal of Medicine. She is currently an adjunct professor in Montclair State University’s anthropology department.
