Employee Insurance and Benefits is located in the Division of Human Resources, 314 College Hall. Montclair offers a comprehensive program of benefits with a variety of options. These options include medical insurance with a choice of New Jersey Direct 15 or one of two Health Maintenance Organizations (HMOs). Employees
must complete a 60-day waiting period (approximate,depending upon
payroll cycle) prior to enrollment in these health benefit programs.
As an exception to this, new faculty who begin employment September
1st are covered immediately. Therefore, transfer from one plan to
the other or changes in coverage, must be made during the open enrollment
period in October for January 1st coverage.
