College of the Arts

If your son or daughter has a passion for the arts, Montclair’s fully accredited College of the Arts offers unlimited opportunities for creative expression. Our more than 60 majors, minors, and concentrations in music, art and design, communication and media studies, film, dance, and theatre that will prepare your student for numerous professional arts-related careers. Your student will study with noted working composers, fine artists, actors, musicians, directors, choreographers, conductors, and broadcasters in fully equipped studio, rehearsal, performance, and production facilities. World-famous guest artists regularly visit our campus to share their secrets of success. Here, students can gain real-world professional training in the arts through internship opportunities.

College of Education and Human Services

Does your student want to impact the lives of others? While the College of Education and Human Services is nationally ranked as a top school for teacher preparation, we can also prepare him or her for a professional career in government agencies, hospitals and public health, physical education, nutrition and food science, non-profit organizations, private industry, and more. All of our programs offer internship opportunities that  supplement classroom learning with hands-on professional experience.

College of Humanities and Social Sciences

The College of Humanities and Social Sciences is our largest college, offering your student a traditional liberal arts education that focuses on critical thinking, communication skills, problem solving, and a keen understanding of world cultures, politics, and history. Students can major in Anthropology, Child Advocacy, Classics and General Humanities, English, French, Spanish and Italian, History, Justice Studies, Linguistics, Philosophy, Political Science and Law, Psychology, Sociology, Religious Studies, and Women’s and Gender Studies.

College of Science and Mathematics

From genome sequencing and pharmaceutical science, from calculus to chemistry, from environmental management to cryptology, your College of Science and Mathematics student will learn by doing. He or she will collaborate with world-class faculty in state-of-the-art facilities on cutting-edge research projects focused on everything from Antarctic ice melt to the discovery of new animal species. We also offer several combined BS/MS, BS/MAT, BS/medical degree, and BS/PharmD programs both on campus and in conjunction with other area schools.

School of Business

As a School of Business student, your daughter or son will gain the skills, experiences, and knowledge to compete successfully in today’s dynamic global marketplace.
